Keeping a multi-national brand in line across several countries can be quite a challenge. Just ask Somersby. Before coming to Versionizer, things had gotten so out of hand that some markets would translate their own taglines, use the wrong packshots, or mess up legal disclaimers. Internally, at Somersby headquarters, these were known as "dark markets".

So the first thing we did was to design a foolproof workflow. The Polish market, say, would access only packshots of beverages actually sold in their market. All taglines would automatically be updated with the official, approved version. Same thing with the disclaimers. If the rights to show an actor in a commercial expired, that clip would automatically be pulled from the workflow. And if the rights expired later for the Italian market, for instance, it would remain available there. The mechanics were quite complex, and there was a lot going on behind the scenes. But on the front end, it was remarkably simple and easy to use. And not only that. Versionizer's tailor-made, automated workflow helped build Somersby into a consistent brand, and brought the dark markets back.
